Its not your age always that makes a place friendly or unfriendly, its your mental health and your outlook on life and people. Vulnerability is in how you are seen in your community, so this is not always in a person's control, being aware of your surroundings is key.

I would rather prefer ages from 6-9 mainly because I have worked with elementary students for years as my job.
I live in an HOA neighborhood. The neighbors are friendly, those whom I have met. It is a nice neighborhood with working class persons.
I only say somewhat because you very much meet nice people then you have the people who aren't very nice but they are no different from anybody i treat everybody fairly
