The Memphis Aging Commission offers programs that make a difference in the lives of all older adults and adults living with disabilities. From the older person who can remain at home if they receive the right services to those who are healthy and can benefit from the activities and socialization provided by our community-based programs, such as senior centers. Services include:
- Caregiver Information: Caregiver Information educates agencies, consumers, and caregivers about their roles and provides needed resources to them. It is important for caregivers to understand conditions, such as dementia, and to identify services to assist with specific needs.
- Homemaker Services: Services consisting of general household activities and chores and errands essential to the consumer's care are provided by a trained homemaker when the consumer is unable to perform such activities.
- Senior Volunteer Transportation Network: This program partners with agencies across the service area to connect senior riders with verified volunteers for transportation that is affordable, available, and accessible.

Worked in healthcare most of my life, that's all I know. My current job is Amazon first time working in a warehouse.. looking to go back to healthcare.. I have experience with Alzheimer's, TBI, with bed baths to showers to dressing feeding tubes passing medications documentating etc
It depends on the person.
Horrible care if you want to call it care.
It's very friendly because it's peaceful and where I live is kind of around much older people so I don't have much to worry about. And I know my daughter would be safe and it's safe for her to play. And I have very good schools around that I can choose from so she could attend.
I feel this way because i like to take care of people and also because we all need a good companionship no matter if its the first or last days people should always not left alone unless they want to be.
