The Memphis Aging Commission offers programs that make a difference in the lives of all older adults and adults living with disabilities. From the older person who can remain at home if they receive the right services to those who are healthy and can benefit from the activities and socialization provided by our community-based programs, such as senior centers. Services include:
- Caregiver Information: Caregiver Information educates agencies, consumers, and caregivers about their roles and provides needed resources to them. It is important for caregivers to understand conditions, such as dementia, and to identify services to assist with specific needs.
- Homemaker Services: Services consisting of general household activities and chores and errands essential to the consumer's care are provided by a trained homemaker when the consumer is unable to perform such activities.
- Senior Volunteer Transportation Network: This program partners with agencies across the service area to connect senior riders with verified volunteers for transportation that is affordable, available, and accessible.

The love of the people
Well, I have lived here since 1997 and I haven't had a problem with anyone, not my neighbors, Co-Worker or Church Members, or just really no one for that matter, so I would think Age friendliest out weigh Age unfriendliness.
Sr community centers, most neighbors are seniors
The community engage in various cultural activities involving senior citizens with disabilities and non disability senior citizens. The community is friendly but due to the virus everyone is staying safe, wearing mask and social distancing. I feel this way because the virus is thru out the world. But with prayer we all can make it. Prayer changes things.
Education and community engagement make my community and area age appropriate for all youth. From the library , metro parks, athletic facilities.
