Phenomenal new senior center. Great dance studio and exercise room, and convenient to downtown. The Brook Path and other parks also offer nice places to walk and spend time outside.

-Pedestrian paths rocky and uneven. Sometimes no paths.
-Small general community but with events in local bookstore.
-College area but no involvement.
-No general community activities.
-Working: must commute via car.

It is a pretty progressive community with a sizable senior population. The woman who waits on me in CVS is 84. Courses are available at Wellesley College and at a life-long learning program. I gave less stars to the over 80group, as I don't know as much about service & programs available to them.

Access to Boston, great cultural, educational and community activities. Cost of living is high and the weather is New England so potential long winters.

There isn't a great sense of community here; but that is true of most affluent suburbs of Boston. We had all been so tied to the greater city and our professional roles therein that we didn't cultivate close ties here at home. This is great place for families (30-60); but in retirement, we seem to get lost. But the roads are plowed of snow quickly.
