There are very few Volunteer Opportunities promoted publicly where Senior experience might be empowering to those who the agencies serve.
The Phoenix area has gotten much more expensive to live over the last several years. Transportation is mainly busses and we have a lightrail system but not enough routes yet. Community colleges and four year institutions are readily available to all.
Not enough low-cost housing for Seniors and not enough half-time or part-time jobs for Seniors.
Not a lot of opportunities for older citizens. In fact, not a lot of chances to be hired by anyone because of your age.
I am 66 trying to find work and living on social security. The neighbors are loud, drug using and carry guns.
