Many affordable active retirement communities, with many retirees from around the country.
Neighbors are caring. In time of need they reach out.to you ( e.g last hurricane - my neighbor came over to find out if I needed anything and whether she could help with clearing of the debris. When I moved in the area one neighbor came over to welcome me with a plant. I was also asked to join the community meetings
I JUST MOVE TO THIS NEIGHBORHOOD ONE YEAR AGO SO I DON'T TO MANY PEOPLE AROUND HERE. BUT THIS IS A NICE NEIGHBORHOOD SO FAR. NOT MUST TRANSPORTATION YOU NEED YOUR OWN CAR IS LIVABILITY. AND GOOD COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT.
I have excellent accounting skills and references, over 30 years. I don't look my age, early 60's. Finding part time employment is impossible. I have been told to my face that I am too old. I had an interview for a sales job for a financial planner. He told me & I quote " You have all the skills I need for this job but your age isn't good for the area. The business men here want young & pretty, you would never get thru the door"
Florida has more elderly citizens than young people as it is a retirement state and now that the 'baby boomers' have retired there is more seniors living here than any other place I know of.
