Marlborough prides itself on being age friendly and has a city department named "The Council on Aging," responsible for providing comprehensive services to its citizens as they mature. Services include:
- Meal and nutrition programs, transportation, prescription drug benefits, heating assistance, and newsletters
- The SCRPT program, which provides a property tax abatement to citizens who share their experience with the community
- A "Senior of the Year" designation, the winner of which is recognized at a mayoral dinner

This community is somewhat age friendly due to the transportation services even though they are limited. They also have community programs different age groups .Also many business have age friendly discounts .
Transportation, comunity engagement. Friendly downtown area.
Marlborough is a friendly, safe city. It has good potential for growth and prosperity. Marlborough has a new senior center and is beginning to serve its older residents better. There are several nursing homes and several 55+ condo developments.
It's an aging neighborhood, so it's kept up with me. It's fairly quiet, but also not walking distance to anything (except a hospital). I feel safe here as a 60+ single woman living alone.
community is very involved with assisting seniors with Housing, transportation, provides an active and productive senior center where seniors can go and meet people of interest and get involved in activities,
