Jobs are a shame for those who can and want to work. This is an age driven job market with emphasis on being young a benefit let alone age discrimination is alive and well and also illegal. People whine about young employees work ethics but Heaven forbid you are over age 55.
The place is strategically located to transportation, hospitals, shopping markets, Churches, Parks and Senior Citizen Centers.
Age friendly on everything, but employment. After 50, there's a challenge to finding work.... The more educated and experienced; the more difficult to find work.
There are many free or low-cost organizations where those over 60 can have lunch and engage in various social activities. The metro bus and train service offer special fares for seniors outside of rush hours. Low cost door-to-door transportation service for seniors requiring assistance. Excellent climate.
I like LA it's crowded but accessible to everything
