Lakewood is a city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. It is part of the Greater Cleveland Metropolitan Area, and borders the city of Cleveland. The population was 52,131 at the 2010 United States Census, making it the third largest city in Cuyahoga County, behind Cleveland (396,815) and Parma (81,601).

There are people living in this community of all ages. There is a large gay population which means that most people are tolerant and not narrow minded.
Part of the city is a place where one can walk to the shops and restaurants. People seem to be genuinely friendly & helpful.
Public transportation is available along with transportation for seniors through the senior center.
There's a lot to do in this neighborhood & it is affordable.
Education; the schools are very good and organized. The community engagement is so great as responding to fundraising.
There is a Human Services Dept. which provides meals to those in need, assists with finding low-income housing and with other needs of mature individuals.
There are also parks and many community activities.
There are many affordable senior aoartments
I do not live in Lakewood but I know it is a walkable city with many amenities for all ages.
