This is the city I was born in. It is absolutly beautiful here and the weather is great all year round. The downside is the cost of living has sky-rocketed and many seniors can no longer afford their rent and are going to homeless shelters. The average one bedroom here is $1800. If you are on a fixed income this would not be the place for you.
Rents are going up rapidly. I moved here in 2014 with rent at $1200 prt month. Rent is now at $1600 per month. There are 91 units in my apartment complex. Everytime they raise the rent about 20 people leave the complex. I will see a few ot the on the streets. I have seen several people evicted each year. Pay for non technical jobs are not earning raises.
