Irving, TX is very much a age friendly town. Must of the business here have senior discounts. The Irving Library has a variety of activities for seniors. The YMCA has a program called Silver Snickers to keep senior healthy and active.

There are some bus routes and a nearby train stations, plenty of medical clinics, hospitals and pharmacies, shopping strips and stores that offer personal shopping for pick-up, and a community college that allows free tuition for anyone over age 65. They do have some community events, but I am unfamiliar with this aspect of the community.
