Boston can be a favorable city for older adults to live in, but the suitability can vary depending on individual preferences and circumstances. Here are some factors to consider:

I feel like my city is welcoming to all ages. We have lots of families with kids and it's a greater place to raise kids with the parks and sports and Ymca but there is also a lot for olds people resources and services
It is an age friendly neighborhood because it's got lots of stores that are easy to walk to, and has a senior center. In the neighborhood are a member of accessible apartment and senior living facilities.
Nice neighbors and pleasant people who welcomed us when we moved here two years ago. Some sent us cards and other baked goodies and door decorations. People smile and greet when we see them.
people of all ages and backgrounds working in a variety of jobs income ranges from low to very high lots of community events during the course of the year
New people are moving in every day. Lots is children and local schools are easily accessible. Housing is plentiful and there are lots of family oriented restaurants.
I live in a small town, 7000, so everyone knows and helps everyone; they are especially good with older people, e.g. check on them during a power outage, and have an active senior center
Assisted living a crowd the street, neighbors bought new and are still here, one and two story homes are here and sidewalks are walkable with lovely cemetery and cemetery walls to look at
The city of Boston is working on this issue. There are not enough senior gatherings spots and activities. A senior center should be for activities as well as for information. Public transportation should also be addressed. Many younger people do not understand the problems of the elderly; our motor skills are not as quick and we cannot think nor respond as quickly, You've got to give us a minute.
This neighborhood welcomes all ages, young and old, as well as all races. In the townhome condo in which I live, there are seniors in their 80's through youngster age 3.
My neighborhood is age-friendly because it's quiet. There are not many little children and it's on a main road. It's a suburban neighborhood which also makes it age-friendly.
