Alexandria is an independent city in the Commonwealth of Virginia in the United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 139,966, and in 2016, the population was estimated to be 155,810. Located along the western bank of the Potomac River, Alexandria is approximately 7 miles (11 km) south of downtown Washington
The Commission on Aging (COA) serves as the principal advocate for issues relating to aging and promotes the implementation of the Older Americans Act and other age-pertinent laws and policies in Alexandria and the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Commission advances programs and services that address the needs of older Alexandrians, especially for (but not exclusively) low-income citizens.

Just because there are lot of nice people
Hospital and Nursing Homes are within comfortable distances. Transportation systems are accessibility requirements that accommodates the aged and people with disabilities, to which priorities are for the comfortable transport of the said are provided.
The schools are good and people are giving information and resources and the transportation is available for all ages.
I like that it's safe to walk outside. Very close to shops and market. It has good schools. It's reallly clean. Very close to Metro and has free shuttle bus to Metro. Pets friendly.
