Age friendly or unfriendly is a very broad topic in general; but what makes this place age friendly is understanding of older people's plan of care, needs, educational backgrounds, means of mobility and community engagement which is actually generated by the caregiver who is designated to care for the individuals or clients.
As a longterm caregiver, I personally understand that individuals needs of care are different and no matter how experience you think you have, I have gone a long way to understand that very client or patient are different and have different ways of dealing with they care for example, I have care for a patients who have been married for fifty-eight years (husband and wife), but each of them have different ways of doing things. The husband likes eating breakfast first before any activity while the wife want to be shower first before the beginning of any activity although they have been together for years, but still have different way of doing things even at their old age.
Another example, I have care for patients that are sisters, but have same health conditions still understand each of them have different preferences when it comes to their cares.
So; for the fact, having a experience does not mean that every client is the same and should be treated the same way even if they have same diagnosis, be unconscious, conscious and mentally disabled etc; they still have preference with their care and they should be obey because they've the right.
