It is a very caring and friendly town
The cost of living is too high for this small town.Jobs are hard to find if you are young and almost impossible for older workers. The transportation is horrible; the bus is unreliable and so are the cabs. The bus only run from 5 :55 am to 6pm.Cabs take too long to pick you up, then ride you all over town, making you late for whatever you have to do. We have a very small senior center. The colleges are good to seniors. Crime is high, most seniors are too scared to walk far, even young people get jacked walking.
I thinks it's age friendly because of the southern hospitality.
