Upland is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The municipality is located at an elevation of 1,242 feet (379 m). As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 73,732, up from 68,393 at the 2000 census. It was incorporated on May 15, 1906, after previously being named North Ontario. Upland is located at the foot of the highest part of the San Gabriel Mountains. The Los Angeles suburb is part of the Inland Empire, a metropolitan area situated directly east of the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

I feel strongly this community can help me
The City of Upland is very quiet, and community oriented. Upland has a lot of popular grocery stores and neighborhood markets that are safe and accessible for both the young and older population. Transportation wise, Upland has good road networks and pliable roads with appropriate speed control. The Omni Trans Public Transportation is a regular sight on marked routes. Restaurants, Fast Food Chains and Coffee Shops are within reach. After interacting with a few young families with school age children, I could feel their sense of relief knowing the city can boast of safe and well managed schools. Upland has beautiful Parks where the older adults can feel safe to relax or walk their pets and service animals.
Having lived in Upland for more than 6years, I could comfortably say it is relatively safer than a lot of cities judging from what I see on the news. Thanks to law enforcement and security officials who are always on patrol in most major streets and around some liquor stores, as I have observed when returning from work.
Above all, to cater for families who are looking for a place where their loved ones can receive help with activities of daily living, Upland has a lot of senior and assisted living facilities as well as Post Acute.
The Upland Rehab offers a peaceful residence to people that need various forms of rehabilitation.
Did I forget to mention the annual Upland Lemon Festival which attracts young and old from within and outside Upland. The City of Upland goes all out to ensure that the Festival is so beautifully organized each year, to make new people look forward to experiencing it the next year. There is usually a variety of foods from various cultures, arts and crafts, music and talent shows, children's entertainment section like rides and puppet shows. The Upland Police Department and other Private Security are always there to ensure there is top security within the arena and surrounding locations throughout the Festival.
In my opinion, Upland is one City that I would recommend for older friends and family as a peaceful to live.

Upland is a pretty safe place all you see most of the time is older people walking there pets.
