I've lived in Stoughton for 30 years. It is a family oriented community. The school system was very accommodating for my children who all had interest in the arts, science and music department. The highschool has plays and music performances where the community is welcomed to join for a small fee. They have a wonderful senior citizen program. Stoughton has every restaurant you can think of from Caribbean, Chinese, Portuguese, Brazilian, Italian, fast food etc. There are a few nice parks that are family and senior friendly ( walk paths for wheelchairs and walkers)
There's Dial a Bat transportation from Brockton if needed. There's also a train station that goes to Boston.
Opportunities for seniors through library, churches, senior center and local ymca
There are a good amount of in home elderly care services and this is an old town. So many of the people are very accommodating.
Stoughton is age friendly.it has a couple of company's for the elderly. Transportation out there is not the best. Other then that, there's a lot of jobs here, a lot of chances to help the community.
friendly neighborhood, quiet and no violence.School system is great
