Yes because in my community they help each other and that's what I love most about my city and where I live. They give people the upmost respect and he'll when everyone needs help.

St. Louis is my hometown, but sadly I would not recommend it as an age-friendly place to live.  We have great restaurants, hospitals, and higher-education opportunities for seniors (often at a reduced cost), as well as a lower cost of living. However, the area is continuing to be further decimated by litter, crime, theft, neglect, and most tragic--the ongoing segregation and racism that has never truly been addressed.  This has broken my heart, and while I live in a very progressive, ethnically-diverse area (by choice, I might add), I can no longer accept this ever-present neglect in its various forms.  Our mass transit system remains in shambles, county residents are scared to come to the city for weekend/evening outings (crime), and our public school system is beyond embarrassing.  Until/unless St. Louis City and County decide to deal with our legendary segregation and lack of not just equality but more important, equity, St. Louis is destined to remain a sub-standard city.  Signed, Broken hearted in U. City, MO.
