Spring Hill is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hernando County, Florida, United States. The population was 98,621 at the 2010 census, up from 69,078 at the 2000 census. The American Community Survey estimated the population in 2015 to be 103,197. Spring Hill belongs to Florida's Nature Coast region and is in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metro area. It is east of Hernando Beach, southwest of Brooksville, and north of Tampa.

Very close to grocery stores, pharmacies gas stations,fast food places.Neighborhood watch groups take care of residents who are ill or shut ins,checking up on them frequently.
Florida has a large senior population and visitor/residents from the northern states every winter who are lovingly called snow birds (fly south in the winter)
It is a great community to live in with different committees of volunteers that provide helpful services to the elderly.
It's a retirement location but is in the process of expanding.
