Family is of value to the locals we care for our elders and we all do our part to take care of them just like they did for us as children. I believe that's what makes Porterville an age friendly community.

Our town is age friendly nobody has hurt the elderly in our community. There is transportation for them if they need. They also have group homes for them and I would love to help them I've always been there to help my grandma she's 88 and she lives alone. I take care of her when nobody else can.
