This is a beautiful retirement town

Friendly neighborhood, with good children, pretty, quaint park in the center, a pool for residents only, grilling area, everyone willing to help out a neighbor in need, close to the middle school, nice part of town, located only about 3 minutes from the court square and town. Court square has little most creative events year round- arts & craft festivals, handmade jewelry & pottery. There's a coffee shop in the corner - the ambience is sublime. Beautiful during every season, host to Santas house during Christmas, truck-or,-treat for the kids during Halloween, costume contest, Great doctor's and dentists throughout Paris, most located right off court square. You can feel the history there. There's a 30 mile yard sale in the fall, while the leaves are at their prime glory in color. Apple cider, pumpkin carving contest. Spring is beautiful, with dogwoods and azaleas in bloom everywhere. The smells of all of the florals is intoxicating, invigorating, sets your soul at ease while energizing your soul from winters slumber, a great follow up to Christmas on the square. When summer comes, though it might be very "Tennessee" temperature outside, there's a splash pad for the younger groups of kids, where parents can relax as the wee ones splash around in all of the innovatively designed water fountains, with plenty of pavilion coverage and a snack stand full of lower prices cool treats. The cost of entrance? A mere $2, but FREE most days, and available as a rental venue for birthday parties. It sits right across from & right inside the wonderous Eiffel Tower Park, and a mere 40 steps from Paris City pool. Along with the very decent sized regular park that has held outdoor music festivals, children's book readings during the day. They've even had a real unicorn for a guest during one reading. Not far from that park is a "health" park for the busy bees to run around in and burn all that sprite like energy- very innovative. The park contains bike trails, hike trails, 4 to 6 tennis courts, and a basketball court. Right in the center? You've got it- the Eiffel Tower, standing tall & glorious, lit up at night for all to see, following Parisian's with pride, wonder in its beauty. It may not be to scale, but it fits just right in the park and in our hearts. Right around the corner is the famous Sweet Jordans, home of homemade sweet treats, ice cream, coffee and boba teas, with a play area inside for the kiddos while mom and Nana grab a flavored coffee and a muffin to catch up with one another. But Sweet Jordans serves a far more important and heartfelt purpose than just treats & playtime. They provide job coaching and transportation for special needs adults, assisting them in getting to or from interviews after preparing them for interviews. They also provide assistance to them in finding locations to live as well as financial assistance, giving them a life with independence so they have a life that is as full as anyone else's, and pride in themselves, which is more than well deserved. Thank you Sweet Jordans for who you are& what you represent in our community! Every year is the world renowned "Worlds Biggest Fish Fry". Host to the best catfish fillets you've ever tasted, a grand parade, a queen and her court to retire to bring in the years new queen, amazing local artists, live music from more of a mellow/country genre. There's great fishing, if that's your forte, jet skiing, &:boating on the Kentucky Lake- AISO known as the best seat 8n the house for the Independence Day firework show. All in all, Paris, in general, is chock full of history that is palpable, beauty around every corner, a friendly "hometown Friday night football" feel, suitable - enticing, to any age group from toddler to a respected senior crowd. Paris, where you don't meet a stranger, home to good heart's, good citizens, great family environment, tradition, history and culture. You can't miss stopping here to see the place that we call home.
