Orlando is a city in the U.S. state of Florida and the county seat of Orange County.
Located in Central Florida, it is the center of the Orlando metropolitan area, which had a population of 2,387,138, according to U.S. Census Bureau figures released in March 2016. These figures make it the 24th-largest metropolitan area in the United States, the sixth-largest metropolitan area in the Southern United States, and the third-largest metropolitan area in Florida.
As of 2015, Orlando had an estimated city-proper population of 270,934, making it the 73rd-largest city in the United States, the fourth-largest city in Florida, and the state's largest inland city.
The City of Orlando is nicknamed "The City Beautiful", and its symbol is the fountain at Lake Eola. Orlando is also known as "The Theme Park Capital of the World" and in 2016 its tourist attractions and events drew more than 68 million visitors.
The Orlando International Airport (MCO) is the thirteenth-busiest airport in the United States and the 29th-busiest in the world. In 2010, Orlando was listed as a "Gamma−" level global city in the World Cities Study Group's inventory. Orlando ranks as the fourth-most popular American city based on where people want to live according to a 2009 Pew Research Center study.

Orlando is a melting pot in Central Florida that caters to all ages and is also known as "The City Beautiful". There is never a dull moment in this city no matter what age you are! You will always be able to find something to do. There is high and low income restricted housing, student housing, and communities for seniors with or without assistance. There is even a newer area called Lake Nona that offers a healthy lifestyle community. They hold free yoga, meditation, and community events that gather neighbors for bonding. Orlando has some of the best hospitals and doctors, Advent Health was ranked #1 in Florida by the U.S News & World Report. Orlando has hospitals that take care of your specific needs. They are constantly working towards the best healthcare with state of the art equipment. There are a variety of schools from your K-12, private schools, colleges, universities, and technical schools. Anyone can find their niche. Orlando offers the Lynx Bus System which travels through Orlando and its surrounding areas. There are taxi cabs, Uber, Lyft, and special programs that offer transportation services for those who need it. Whether you own, rent, or live in a targeted age/type of area, they offer a wide scope of sense of community. There are events in communities, gatherings, programs to help, and facilities that cater to lifestyle.
I have lived in Orlando for 18 years, it has become my permanent home. I have personally seen and/or experienced what I have written. I've watched Orlando grow and flourish, myself included. Orlando is diverse and there is so much opportunity in this city.

The city of Orlando has many elderly residents but over the years a younger crowd has moved in. Therefore, young adults tend to be less patient with the elderly and can sometimes not be helpful when needed. I also do not believe there is enough safe transportation for the elderly community. In addition, there should be more community engaging activities for them. For example, places where they can meet, do activities, and be part of special events.
