I consider it age friendly as there are discounts in stores for seniors, buses that have an extension so someone can use a wheelchair or scooter, discounts on buses for seniors.
Neighbors are helpful and offer to do tasks for me if I need them to. City services are good and reliable. City transportation is within walking distance.
Very comfortable and age-friendly neighborhood. People around with various ethnicities are courteous and respextable. Easy to walk around nearby stores, restos and shops. Able to exercise safely.
My neighborhood has a mixture of people of very young ageddle age, older and very elderly people. People respect each other in all age groups.
I feel my neighborhood is very age-friendly as there are so many different things to see and do. My neighborhood is diverse and somewhat upscale. If you can't find something to interest you here, whether its arts, music, sports, etc., you're simply not looking hard enough. The only downside is that it can be very costly to live here, although there are many price-conscious activities to keep you entertained.
We are right next to a forest. There are lots of nice plays to go and walk. There are some nice stores and have a number of parts. We relatively close to the center of the city, Manhattan, but not too close.
The diversity of ethnic backgrounds and religions in the neighborhood makes it age friendly, as well as racial friendly. I have lived here over 30 years and see the changes that have come about.
A very large community in the Bronx has many, many things for seniors to do. You really do not need to leave the community everything you may need is here.
People, pets, stores and this to do it's very friendly. I like it a lot there are shows and culture Rivers and birds and food and churches and stuff like that.
