Mission Viejo is suburban in nature and culture. The city is mainly residential, although there are a number of offices and businesses within its city limits. The city is known for its tree-lined neighborhoods, receiving recognition from the National Arbor Day Foundation. The city's name is a reference to Rancho Mission Viejo, a large Spanish land grant from which the community was founded.

Although Mission Viejo is the best place to raise a family, the older generations will find it fitting as well with the many leisurely activities the city has to do ffer. You have the fine restaurant along the beachfront at Lake Mission Viejo, The Shops At Mission you will find whatever you are looking for, a game a golf can be found at the local Country Club, you may even find a weddening going on. Whatever the case may be, that brings you to Mission Viejo; Just know that this is a WONDERFUL PLACE TO BE ,AND A GREAT PLACE TO CALL HOME, like I did in 1993.I am still here, but that's the Grandma in me!
