The Memphis Aging Commission offers programs that make a difference in the lives of all older adults and adults living with disabilities. From the older person who can remain at home if they receive the right services to those who are healthy and can benefit from the activities and socialization provided by our community-based programs, such as senior centers. Services include:
- Caregiver Information: Caregiver Information educates agencies, consumers, and caregivers about their roles and provides needed resources to them. It is important for caregivers to understand conditions, such as dementia, and to identify services to assist with specific needs.
- Homemaker Services: Services consisting of general household activities and chores and errands essential to the consumer's care are provided by a trained homemaker when the consumer is unable to perform such activities.
- Senior Volunteer Transportation Network: This program partners with agencies across the service area to connect senior riders with verified volunteers for transportation that is affordable, available, and accessible.

I feel South Memphis offer a variety of amenities: Great Retail
Stores, Medical Services, Schools, it's excited during the Holiday Season All Memphis City/County schools participates in parade, it's a long time Community I enjoy, as well it provides Tourists from all the world visiting Elvis Presley's home!
The community is on the busline. They have a wonderful Neighborhood Watch Progam. Your neighbors watch out for you. The neighborhood is usually pretty quiet. The neighborhood has schools in it. There are bike trails and several groceries stores. There are plenty of Churches to choose from as well.
I would recommend this community to my older friends and family because I feel as if it gives a big impact on the families. This community is very helpful and supportive . However, they give you many ways to get your education, many ways for you to get to your location with great transportation and more.
