  2. CICOA’s Aging & Disability Resource Center can help you make informed decisions about Planning for in-home or long-term care, Housing options, Community-based services, including home-delivered meals, transportation, home modifications and more, Accessing resources to help pay for services (Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance), Transitioning between levels of care, Peer support, and Self care.

  3. Flourish: Flourish Care Management is a comprehensive service designed to meet the long-term care needs of older adults and people of any age with disabilities in a home or community-based setting with better health outcomes, better care, and at a lower cost than institutional care.  Using a team-based, person-centered approach, our care managers assess an individual’s eligibility for services, functional impairment and care needs, develop a customized plan of care, and coordinate all services required to extend independent living.

The cost of living is wonderful. Healthcare has steadily improved. It is within a whole day drive of half of our nation's population. the change of seasons is nice but not as dramatic as other places.

I love my city Indianapolis, IN. I grew up here, graduated High School from here. I have so many friends and family living here. This is a Midwestern city and the people are friendly, engaging, sports friendly.

Indianapolis is my home town and have lived here most of my life. Due to a job loss last year, it has been very difficult to find another job. I have experienced much age discrimination despite having the qualifications and skills needed for the positions. I now work two jobs and barely get by every month and not even close to retiring. For the first time in my life, I am considering leaving Indy and going somewhere else where they hopefully do not discriminate.

I believe it's somewhat friendly because we have older people that purchased there home 30 years ago plus as well as us younger people that's just purchasing their home on the same block. There also is a group of individuals aging from 15-65 that goes around picking up trash together throughout the neighborhood.
