It's pretty quiet for the most part and the people stay to themselves
What makes my town age-friendly is that there is such a variety of engagement to be involved in, it is such a friendly environment, with so many activities. My town has so much transportation for others, lots of education, and so much care to give.

The age-friendly community is one that cares for the elderly population. Some of the pros and cons.
It helps seniors to stay active and healthy. Digs out the skills of the aged people which they can render to the society and growing individuals by sharing their experience. They are respected in the society. Their decisions are valued by others will not feel the loneliness or isolation from the family members as they have continuous interactions with their friends. The vulnerable population is specially cared for. A retirement community can give them their own space to live.
Creating a well-equipped age-friendly environment which can trigger the financial expenditures in addition to the government. Lack of active participation by the community to fund programs. Transportation arrangements to be made in every part of the city. Segregation of seniors by senior living community or age centers

Houston as a whole is a very friendly place to live. It may be a huge urban sprawl, but it maintains a warm Southern sense of community. Strangers chat in elevators, and most people will greet you with a smile. This is consistent throughout all age groups in Houston, and the large immigrant communities are especially warm to people regardless of age. Despite all of these positive aspects, Houston is not very accessible. A car is almost essential to get around the large city, and people who are in wheelchairs and rely on public transportation often have to wait hours for a ride. For this reason, I believe that Houston ranks in the middle compared to the age friendliness of other U.S cities.
