The Niels Esperson Building is the only complete example of Italian Renaissance architecture in Downtown Houston. Designed by theater architect John Eberson, the Esperson building was built in 1927. It's elaborately detailed with massive columns, great urns, terraces, and a grand tempietto at the top, similar to one built in the courtyard of San Pietro in Rome in 1502.
His wife Mellie Esperson had the building constructed for her husband, Niels, a real estate and oil tycoon, and his name is carved on the side of the building, above the entrance, in large letters.

I gave it three stars because well the good reason there many things around easier to get place for transportation bus Uber and Lyft I don’t full with people sad thing it’s a lot homeless gun shots what scares me

I have lived in this neighborhood for over 40 years and for the most part some of us know some of our neighbors who have lived there equally as long and some are new to the neighborhood some we haven't gotten acquainted due to their lifestyle

People are friendly in my neighborhood. We know our neighbors and look out for one another. I've lived in this neighborhood for twenty three years and never had a problem with anyone in the community. Most people are very friendly and caring.
