The Niels Esperson Building is the only complete example of Italian Renaissance architecture in Downtown Houston. Designed by theater architect John Eberson, the Esperson building was built in 1927. It's elaborately detailed with massive columns, great urns, terraces, and a grand tempietto at the top, similar to one built in the courtyard of San Pietro in Rome in 1502.
His wife Mellie Esperson had the building constructed for her husband, Niels, a real estate and oil tycoon, and his name is carved on the side of the building, above the entrance, in large letters.

The area is usually quiet, there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants. People are very friendly and helpful, and there are excellent hospitals nearby. Public transportation is also easily found and the weather is generally comfortable.

Workers under the age of 20 are very hard workers as well. Including myself.

Houston is a very unique city that I take pride in. Though many young adults have moved here, it shows that it is a place many would love to grow and make memories in. However if I had the opportunity to change anything, I would definitely create more fitting places or atmospheres for our senior citizens as our community is starting to become more modernized with younger generations. I would love for all generations to collaborate and make a difference.
