The Niels Esperson Building is the only complete example of Italian Renaissance architecture in Downtown Houston. Designed by theater architect John Eberson, the Esperson building was built in 1927. It's elaborately detailed with massive columns, great urns, terraces, and a grand tempietto at the top, similar to one built in the courtyard of San Pietro in Rome in 1502.
His wife Mellie Esperson had the building constructed for her husband, Niels, a real estate and oil tycoon, and his name is carved on the side of the building, above the entrance, in large letters.

I consider this place a age friendly environment because there are a lot of resources for all ages, also transportation all around the city. They provide good education and home living for all ages and safety

The area is livable for older residents and the area is also well established.

When I just moved to the area I had neighbors help me with my trash can in the morning because they knew I had a baby and it was a little difficult to take out the trash can with my son in hand.
