Greenbelt is a city in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. Contained within today's City of Greenbelt is the historic planned community now known locally as "Old Greenbelt" and designated as the Greenbelt Historic District. Greenbelt's population was 23,068 at the 2010 U.S. Census.
Greenbelt is known widely as a public cooperative community founded in the New Deal era. Greenbelt was one of three "green" towns planned in 1935 under the United States Resettlement Administration, along with Greendale, Wisconsin (near Milwaukee) and Greenhills, Ohio (near Cincinnati).

Most people in the community are older and understand the true meaning of Life
It's an older area where there are retired folks just living there life but very nice and friendly community with few people my age but the community and people are very involved
every one knows everyone and the neighborhood is safe , very clean and it is closed to the bus stop and shopping mall.they organised hallowed party, thanksgiving., carol night and many other event inn the community.
Friendly community with caring people. Most of them at in their mid life so they understand life better.
Buildings are equipped for people who have equipment. There are no wheel chair ramps and a lot of stairs.
