It is a college town that also has an elementary school, middle school, and high school. The are is very age-friendly because the college students are always trying to help out the younger kids through teaching and tutoring. Also, it is easy to transport around the town with the bus system.
People here are generally kind and considerate regardless of age . An example would be getting the door for an elderly person .
I have attended the Wed. Night Bingo @ ARC on 83rd St.. it is a Great Activity for Ageing & Mentally Handicap People.

The community agencies work well together and share needed information to help the student. Besides being near the UF campus there are two schools with K-8 in the same area. The area is an upscale community with a mixture of ages from school children to college students. Most people in the area use the local bus system to get around even though they own their own vehicle. Most of the college students use mopeds. Well patrolled by the local police and very low crime area.
