Far Rockaway is a neighborhood on the Rockaway Peninsula in the New York City borough of Queens in the United States. It is the easternmost section of the Rockaways. The neighborhood starts at the Nassau County line and extends west to Beach 32nd Street. The neighborhood is part of Queens Community Board 14.

From experience, residents in Far Rockaway tend to take advantage of the elderly population. Younger residents do not show the proper respect that they should have for those that are older.
There's not enough to do out here.
I live in a very urban, diverse community. There are senior centers around me, mass transportation, nursing homes, etc... I live right near the boardwalk, where a lot of seniors walk/exercise daily.
Area is very gentrified and mixed with alot of variety of people.
When I go for walks or to the store we say good morning or see something at the same time strick a conversation or help one another.
