Centralina Area Agency on Aging (AAA) strives to support and enhance the capacity of service and advocacy systems to promote independence, preserve dignity and advocate for the rights of older and disabled adults and their families.
The Centralina AAA serves a nine county region and is an “on-the-ground” organization charged with helping vulnerable older adults and people with disabilities live with independence and dignity in their homes and communities. The CAAA serves the counties of Anson, Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanly & Union. We are located at 9815 David Taylor Dr., Charlotte, NC 28262.

Friendly community of patio homes where residents are largely over age 50--community engagement thru newsletter, clubhouse with activities, and walk friendly with a quiet safe atmosphere
All homes are one level with no stairs.

I feel like how you treat people. People will treat you.
We have lots of senior residents with programs for life enrichment. They have transportation employees to ride them to and from their appointments as well as take them shopping. Program coordinators plan for museum trips and shopping trips where I am sure the residents have lots of fun with these socially engaging opportunities.

This place is somewhat age friendly being the amount of outside activities it provides such as fitness room,pool and a park. There are also signs in the area to go a certain mileage being that it's a lot of children that goes to school in the area. I'd say the speed bumps in the area is another thing that makes it friendly in which is speed bumps being how busy it is it helps insist with easy crossing for both adults and children.
