Brooklyn's official motto, displayed on the Borough seal and flag, is Eendraght Maeckt Maght which translates from early modern Dutch as "Unity makes strength". Since 2010, Brooklyn has evolved into a thriving hub of entrepreneurship and high technology startup firms, and of postmodern art and design. Brooklyn can be a desirable place for older adults to live for many reasons:
- Healthcare facilities: Brooklyn is home to numerous world-class hospitals and medical centers, including Maimonides Medical Center and NYU Langone Health. These facilities provide access to a wide range of healthcare services and specialized treatments.

It is age friendly because everything you would need you can find within walking distance. It is easy to catch a taxi.
It is age unfriendly because brownstone buildings don't have elevators- lots of stairs,
the sidewalks are uneven, and there are tons of young families due to good schools, and they just want elder people out of the way.
My reason for this place to be unfriendly is due to lack of violence , crimes, and other behavioral problem. Individuals are rude, and always looking to fight.
There are multiple public school around the neighborhood where kids are constantly playing. I never heard an incident where an unfortunate event happened to a kid around here
Cypress Hills has stable rent and plenty of public transportation going for it. However, there are few pharmacies and not much wheelchair access.

It is average in friendliness. It has transportation and community engagement although it doesn't have many opportunities for the elderly
