Since 2010, Brooklyn has evolved into a thriving hub of entrepreneurship and high technology startup firms, and of postmodern art and design. Brooklyn can be a desirable place for older adults to live for many reasons:

As a NYC resident for the last 14 years, Brooklyn specifically, transportation is very convenient such as buses, the subway and access-a-ride services. The access to further education is abundant and there are a plethora of activities for the older generation to participate in throughout the borough.

It's a great neighborhood, but it's just still too much gun violence going on. There's always a lot of events going on though, for example there's a center here for the kids & every saturday there's a church group that goes there & talks to kids.
