Brooklyn is the most populous borough of New York City. The borough continues, however, to maintain a distinct culture. Many Brooklyn neighborhoods are ethnic enclaves. Brooklyn's official motto, displayed on the Borough seal and flag, is Eendraght Maeckt Maght which translates from early modern Dutch as "Unity makes strength". Since 2010, Brooklyn has evolved into a thriving hub of entrepreneurship and high technology startup firms, and of postmodern art and design. Brooklyn can be a desirable place for older adults to live for many reasons:
- Healthcare facilities: Brooklyn is home to numerous world-class hospitals and medical centers, including Maimonides Medical Center and NYU Langone Health. These facilities provide access to a wide range of healthcare services and specialized treatments.

My neighborhood caters to everyone though the day care, to senior living. There is a teen center, as well as a senior citizen center within my neighborhood. Everything is walking distance.
Transportation
It's safe and our community is engaged in their own politics and events. People of all ages live here, it is a family kind of "town" that's little hidden-- many people in Brooklyn have not heard of it. It is near a Marina and there's a kiddie beach.
Working. It gives individuals the stability and support to remain and keep a friendly environment.

My neighborhood holds people from different walks of life. Which means a variety of different mindsets. Some are good and some are bad. I've seen people help and support each other with street fairs, charity events, food pantries and more. But I've also seen people get their cars vandalized, and stores robbed.
