Brooklyn is the most populous borough of New York City. The borough continues, however, to maintain a distinct culture. Many Brooklyn neighborhoods are ethnic enclaves. Brooklyn's official motto, displayed on the Borough seal and flag, is Eendraght Maeckt Maght which translates from early modern Dutch as "Unity makes strength". Since 2010, Brooklyn has evolved into a thriving hub of entrepreneurship and high technology startup firms, and of postmodern art and design. Brooklyn can be a desirable place for older adults to live for many reasons:

East New York is a very age friendly neighborhood, Although I've only lived in the area since late March, I have encountered and met residents and people from all age groups. Previously, I lived in the city of Clearwater, FL for 7 years, which was another age friendly city. Although the majority of the residents were middle aged or older, the people in my community and in the mobile home park that I resided embraced and accepted me and treated me no differently that everyone else. It was a very nice and comfortable experience living there.
It's age friendly because the transportation is very liable , people are nice as well
I just moved to this neighborhood about a year ago I don't really hand over here or any sort so I'm not sure how they treat each other over here
Brooklyn has very down to earth people as well as rudely ambitious people but there are loving people here regardless

Brooklyn has a lot of public transportation so it is easier to commute
