Brighton is a dissolved municipality and current neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, United States, and is located in the northwestern corner of the city. It is named after the town of Brighton in the English city of Brighton and Hove. For its first 160 years, Brighton was part of Cambridge, and was known as "Little Cambridge." Throughout much of its early history, it was a rural town with a significant commercial center at its eastern end. Brighton separated from Cambridge in 1807 after a bridge dispute, and was annexed to Boston in 1874. The neighborhood of Allston was also formerly part of the town of Brighton, but is now often considered separately, leading to the moniker Allston–Brighton for the combined area. This historic center of Brighton is the Brighton Center Historic District.

My towns is a very friendly place. We have a lot of convenient stores and restaurants in the neighborhood. The people in the neighborhood are really nice and love to help each other with shoveling or raking leafs. The people in my neighborhood have alot of family nights at the neighborhood park where they watch movies and have cookouts. The people help clean up the neighborhood by Picking up trash, painting walls that don't look so good and plants flowers.

What makes this place age friendly is the support and services provided in the community. Every month there are flyers given out providing information to the age friendly community such as in-home care services provided by nurses, computer, and English-language classes, transportation, low-income housing opportunities, community engagement such as yoga, scholarship opportunities, etc.
