Boca Raton (; Spanish: Boca Ratón, pronounced [ˈboka raˈton]) is the southernmost city in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. It is also home to the main campus of Florida Atlantic University. Many buildings in the area have a Mediterranean Revival or Spanish Colonial Revival architectural theme, initially inspired by Addison Mizner, a resort architect who heavily influenced the city's early development. Still today, Boca Raton has a strict development code for the size and types of commercial buildings, building signs, and advertisements that may be erected within the city limits. No outdoor car dealerships are allowed in the municipality; further, Walmart is blocked from within the city proper. Boca Raton is considered a great town for older to live in for many reasons:

Yes, I do feel that this city is for the most part, age friendly. We have many retirees that live in Boca, most all buildings, restaurants and public places are handicap accessible. There are community programs available for the elderly. We have education programs, speakers and interesting courses for continuing education or topics of interest at the local universities.

It’s nice to have an agency for mature people. We have experienced caring for our children. We caring, shows empathy and compassion. I love to be a caregiver. It give me a purpose to make a difference in someone’s lives.
