Arlington is definitely an age friendly place. There is a senior center that is very popular and gives people my age plenty of activities to do. The public transportation is good, and it makes it easy to go into the city[Boston] and spend time there.
Programs and Services: The council on aging assists seniors with services such as nursing/health services, podiatry, blood pressure screenings, and access to medical equipment.
LINKS Program: The LINKS Program (Linking Neighborhood Kids with Senior citizens) matches students from the Ottoson Middle School with seniors who need help with outside chores such as leaf raking, yard or garage clean-up, weeding, planting, moving trash to the curb, etc.
