I feel Pembroke is an Age friendly community. There is an active senior center with programming, events, and on-site senior lunch. There's Gatra bus service as well as senior van so elders can get transportation to the lunch program. Meals on wheels is offered for elders that can't get out. There is also several senior living complexes in our community.
There is an active COA in town, and several over 55 developments. Recent upgrades to the roads include additional sidewalks for easier access to the main shopping in the center of town.
As far as I can tell Pembroke is age friendly. I know they have a Gatra van that will assist in rides, 3 senior housing units, a wonderful council on aging with bingo and lunches for the seniors
