Claimed city

Lansing is the capital of the U.S. state of Michigan. It is mostly in Ingham County, although portions of the city extend west into Eaton County and north into Clinton County. The 2010 Census placed the city's population at 114,297, making it the fifth largest city in Michigan. Since 1974 the Tri-County Office on Aging (TCOA) has been the region’s one-stop-shop for information and services that older adults, persons with disabilities and their families need to live independently and remain active in their communities. Services Include:

Caregiver Support: offers counseling for caregivers and their families in order to plan for the future regarding concerns such as housing, finances and long term care options, adult day services and respite.

Information and Assistance: specialists provide information on topics of importance to older adults and persons with disabilities such as housing, financial eligibility for programs, in-home services and long term care options.

Michigan Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program: counselors help individuals to understand Medicare & Medicaid, enroll in Medicare prescription drug coverage, review supplemental insurance needs, apply for Medicaid or Medicare Savings programs, and provide information to help identify and report fraud, abuse or scams. Call 1-800-803-7174 for more information.

Other Services Include: Meals on Wheels, Options Counseling, Senior Dining Sites, Tax Aide Programs, and Crisis Services for the Elderly
