I believe the area is some what age friendly. The neighborhood I live is mostly home owners who have grew up in the community and either remained in the area or came back to live in the area. The area is a small town where most people know each other. Lillington is located about five miles from my home and they have Central Community college and they offer public transportation to the elderly and disable. I think they have a few agencies that offer some home care services to the public. As for jobs in my opinion they are limited as well as places to shop. I'm not familiar with community engangement.
