My wife needed rehab after extensive leg surgery. I visited the facility, they had a good gym & promised 3 hours of PT & OT a day. She may have gotten 2 hours one day. The Ugly started after we arrived at night. She had a high level of pain and they told her they could not give her the prescribed pain med, the pharmacy was closed until the morning. Fortunately. my wife had the surgeon's cell number and called him. I was able to go get some so I could to give to her then and another dose for her next scheduled dose since the pharmacy would only be open after the 2nd scheduled dose. Someone took the second dose from her in the night. One night they made her and her roommate go out in the hall because they were spraying rooms. They did not spray her room. This is indicative of other bad experiences that I do not have space to write about. There are some good people working there. But communication between levels of people is horrible. One person says one thing and someone later says that is not correct. Food was so-so. They are understaffed for aides. After 1.5 hrs in a wet bed my wife called saying "Get me out of here." For her mental health, I did. Better management , better intercommunication & more staff are all badly needed.
