Friend was there for 3 weeks. She is diabetic. Several times during her stay her blood sugar was tested at near or over 400. That is considered an emergency for danger of going into a diabetic coma. They would take the reading but would not return with insulin for over an hour. One of the times it was over an hour and a half. She called me because they were ignoring the call light. I called several times asking to talk to the unit nurse before they finally gave her the insulin.
Response to a call light was consistently over an hour.
The food is bad. Really bad. She refused to eat it. I told her she should just eat it thinking she was just being picky - then I tasted it. It was so bad I had to spit it out. Even something you think would be ok, like fruit cocktail, was bad as well.
The physical therapy was good. It was just the medical care that was bad. Despite the good therapy, she was able to walk without help when she went in but needed a walker when she left. This was most likely due to lack of food and mismanagement of her insulin.
I would not even trust this facility with a dog.
