Sandwich is a town in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, the oldest town on Cape Cod, turning 375 years old in 2014. The town motto is Post tot Naufracia Portus, "after so many shipwrecks, a haven". The population was 20,675 at the 2010 census.
The mission of the Council on Aging is to advocate on behalf of Sandwich elders age 60 and above and their families in addressing their needs by:
- Identifying and developing resources of assistance
- Provide information, referral, outreach, nutrition and health service, in cooperation with other Town departments and area agencies
- Enhance quality of life for seniors and the community by providing educational, recreational, cultural programs and activities
