Monterey is a town in Berkshire County, Massachusetts, United States. It is part of the Pittsfield, Massachusetts Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 961 at the 2010 census. The Council on Aging works to maintain the age-friendliness of the town by providing programs and services to elderly residents. Services Include:
- Transportation: The Southern Berkshire Elderly Transportation (S.B.E.T.C.) operates out of the Claire Teague Senior Center and services 8 surrounding towns. Their hours of operation are Monday thru Friday 8am - 4pm and dispatch hours are Mondays 8am - 12pm, Tuesdays - Thursdays 8am - 2pm and Fridays 8am - 12pm.
- Senior Tax Abatement Program: In order to be eligible, participants must be 60 years of age or older and a property owner in the Town of Monterey, or the co-owner or spouse of homeowner.
