Huntington, Indiana is age friendly because we have transportation for the elders. There are plenty of apartments/houses that is age friendly. There is also plenty of opportunities for the elders to volunteer in businesses.
There are senior events and volunteer opportunities. There is transportation for seniors.
The neighborhood is really friendly. They are always doing something to help each other out to be the best neighbors that they can be. I feel this because I see it happening and join them also.
Huntington is a quiet little city where you come to retire. It's a quaint little town.they have a bunch of elderly people apartments and parks to sit and mingle and get to know your neighbors.its like taking a trip into the past. So you might think you've traveled to that quaint little town of Mayberry.
