Gardner is a great place to live because is still a small town, everything is so close together and it's the same people always around.
No public transportation. Only jobs available nearby are low paying warehouse or retail jobs. High real estate taxes. Total lack of cultural activities, unless you believe high school football games are cultural activities. No sense of community. City does nothing to enforce codes and protect property values. Gardner is a dull bedroom community on the outer edge of Johnson County sprawl, and I'd advise anyone considering living here to consider someplace else.
No public transportation. High real estate taxes. Little recreational activities available. Only jobs available are low paying retail and strenuous warehouse jobs. Isolated from the rest of the Kansas City metro. I can't recommend this town for seniors or anyone else.

Gardner is a neat little town who are pretty good about coming together if need be and help people. Theres all kinds of places to work, whether it be restaraunts, warehouses, Teaching jobs are available, etc.
